National I Want Butterscotch Day, celebrated every February 15th, is an unofficial holiday honoring the creamy sweetness of butterscotch. Did you know that butterscotch has been around for over 200 years? It originated in a small town in Yorkshire and has since gained popularity worldwide. Butterscotch began as candy and evolved into a key topping for desserts and sweets. The main ingredients are brown sugar and butter, with corn syrup, cream, vanilla, and salt occasionally added. The brown sugar is boiled to 140°C and then combined with the other ingredients.
On Saturday, February 15th, join us for National I Want Butterscotch Day! Kids will have the chance to make homemade butterscotch and, of course, enjoy eating it afterward. The event will take place in Tennessee from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and is free for all campers.
Come and indulge in a “Taste of America”!
