National Craft Month
March 1 - March 31

As March arrives, signaling the end of winter, it’s the perfect time to celebrate National Craft Month by showcasing what you’ve been creating during the short, cold days of the past season.
The term “crafting” encompasses a wide range of activities. Historically, “craft” was synonymous with “trade,” referring to skilled labor in specific areas like weaving, engine repair, carpentry, and more. Guilds were often established based on these shared skills. Today, crafting is understood as a more creative practice, unique to each artisan. Examples include knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, leatherworking, wood burning, fly tying, jewelry making, and any hand-made creations that have an artistic aspect but are not strictly considered “fine art.”
To celebrate this event, every Sunday, children will have the chance to create a craft and either take it home or leave it at Moose Family Camp Resort. From 08:00 to 09:30, children will gather in the Event House to work on projects like building birdhouses, making window art, painting rocks, creating string art, and crafting wind chimes.
