The Campsite
Moose Family Campground is located in the outskirts of Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture. The 1.5-acre campsite has 8 tent campsites, 4 glamping tents, 2 tiny cabins and 11 spots for RV parking. Each site has water, sewage dump, and electricity.

We take pride in taking care of families. There are so many things for children to do at our campsite. Our campsite has a swimming pool for summer fun and in the winter months the swimming pool is a fishing pond. Enjoy a Japanese bath or a shower. There are plenty of different style, unique bikes for them to ride. There is a basketball court and various other outdoor games to play. There is a children's room packed with games, coloring pages, arts and crafts and so much more.

We have been very busy with building our house, building glamping tents and remolding the exterior of the swimming pool. This past few months we have been cleaning up from the projects. How is the cleanliness of the campsite? Check all that applies

Our Animals
We have rabbits, goat, guinea pigs and a Golden Retriever. Kids are allowed to go into the rabbit cage, take Cotton the goat a walk and play with Letty our Golden Retriever and enjoy interacting with them.

Our Swimming Pool
Swimming pools are very rare in Japan and especially for a campsite.

Kids Camp
We offer an unparalleled chance for young campers to learn both English and Japanese in a safe and supervised overnight camping environment amidst Japan's stunning outdoors. Through this experience, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and respect for nature among the youth.

When should we provide kids camp? Check all that applies,

Kids camp is for children only. This way the children are not sidetracked and can fully be engaged. Should we allow parents to attend?

Kids camp price is ¥30,000 for 3 day camp and ¥60,000 for One Week. Price covers all expenses such as lodging, food, snacks, materials and more. What is your thought on the price?

Rules
Rules are good to have. But to many rules can make your experience less enjoyable. We have only 3 rules. Rule #1 Have fun. Rule #2 Respect Rule #3 Please follow rules one and two.

Should we have set rules like other campsites?

Quiet time. Our rule #2, Respect, always customers to enjoy the time here. Example, at night in front of the fire. They can enjoy their time as long as they respect the fellow customers surrounding them. What do you think?

We allow dogs to run free without a leash if they are well behaved and the owners cleanup after them. What do you think of this?

We have so many American events. We want everyone to experience real American Cultural.

We have thought of building a small American restaurant. Menu would be hamburgers, pizza, hotdogs and other traditional foods along with traditional festival treats. What is your thought?

Did you know we rely heavily on volunteers? They help us with general cleanup, yardwork, projects and with our events. They get to stay in our guest house and enjoy our BBQ cooking, all meals, drinks, snacks and fellowship. Check all that applies. If interested, please send us a message.

Youth have the opportunity to stay at any time and for the amount of time they want, sometimes for a month, to volunteer here? They learn new skills, how to work as a team, and help build their self esteem. In return, they receive a letter of appreciation, letter of recommendation and a limited edition Moose Coin. We offer a unique homestay program for children ages 5 and up, allowing them to immerse themselves in either Japanese or American culture. Participants will delight in ethnic cooking experiences and partake in the daily life and customs of their chosen culture, creating lasting memories and gaining valuable insights.
